The Need

Human skin undergoes numerous changes due to aging. The biggest are dry skin, skin thinning, wrinkles, sacking and loss in elasticity, subcutaneous fat tissue loss, decreased sebum production, and pigmentation disorders.

 

Skin rejuvenation is a cosmetic procedure that includes a series of cosmetic interventions to enhance the skin features by reversing aging signs. The procedure lifts the neck, chin and brow, and improves lines and wrinkles on the upper chest. Among the currently-available skin treatment modalities, non-invasive technology is the most promising for non-surgical facial and body skin rejuvenation.

Collagen is a natural protein that gives the skin its youthfulness by keeping it toned. As we age, collagen breaks down, and the result is sagging skin. The non‐invasive delivery of ultrasound energy to the skin causes micro-coagulation zones from the dermis to the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS), resulting in the gradual tightening of the skin through collagen contraction and remodeling. 

 

Today there are various invasive surgical options to treat facial lines and wrinkles. The gap of non-invasive aesthetic treatments with proven efficacy, safety, and minimal downtime is still unfulfilled. The other options can cause damage to the upper skin, which, in turn, requires a long healing period and considerable downtime.

Our Solution

Unlike the majority of applicants, we have already developed a working prototype that was successfully tested in a  feasibility study. Our prototype includes main product features to minimize future risks. Our technology vision is performance, reliability and affordability. We take treatment to a new level through a profound understanding of the underlying physics, which we merge with today’s production technologies.

 

 

We invented a way to produce a dot-patterned acoustical field via cost-effective means. As such, the ablation pattern causes effective collagen generation in the skin, ensuring  fast patient recovery. We developed a unique design of ultrasound transducer that can produce high power density for treatment time reduction. A large and flexible area can be covered instantly.

 

 

Our cooling system controls skin line temperature independently to transducer heating in such a way we control treatment depth and shape. Thus, the epidermis layer remains undamaged, minimizing the risk for infections. In addition to performance, we have paid attention to improve  the unique user experience. The probe is designed for convenient use, and the skin contact membrane is disposable and easily re-assembled.

 

 

Treatment is intended to be easy, smooth, controllable and repeatable. Feedback to the  therapist is immediate. Lesion is visible in ambient or red light and sensible to touch.
