•Validation of transducer effective power.
•Validation of transducer energy intensity.
•Probe thermal effect depth and intensity validation .
Experimental Design Phases:
•Validation of transducer array in water for visual effect.
•Measurement of transducer power parameters.
•Validation of parameters of duration and power on various animal tissue`s
Lab result
Transducer with matrix array
The result shows the achieved matrix array and points of intensive effect on the peak of each pixel.
Water geyser (15 cm) during transducer pulse on 100 watt output power - indicates the strength and direction of the energy.
Probe results
Application of non-focused ultrasound to poultry breast showed that the thermic local damage for each point is in the dermis while there is no damage to the outer epidermis. Intensity of thermic damage increases with increase in treatment time.
Fresh tissue experiment results
Probe operation on fresh tissue showed specific thermic local damage for each matrix array pixel in the dermis with no damage to the overlying epidermis.
The Conclusions:
Transducer
-
Transducer shows high stability and high output energy
-
Array matrix shows local effect for each pixel in matrix
Probe
-
Repeatability on several experiments
-
Controlled depth and thermal damage
-
Damage only in internal tissue layer (dermis)
-
Stable cooling system operation
Tissue
-
Validation effects on several different tissues with same results
-
Used different types of tissue – repeatability results
Results demonstrate stabile and repeatability effect and specific thermic damage in the dermis with no damage to the overlying epidermis.
